construction and material knowledge

Having worked at a home improvement warehouse from an early age stocking and handling all the building inventory and I became very knowledgeable of construction material and when I became a Gutter installer with a roof, gutter and siding company, I got to see first hand how a lot of the stuff I used to stock were used in housing, and used many of those skills for different challenging situations where our job was not a clean cut installation job. Was sent on numerous repairs for roof leaks, replacing pipe boots and fascia board, siding and soffit repairs. I tend to do a lot of DIY work on a consistent basis at my own house and it has greatly enhanced my knowledge of not just exterior, but interior as well. I had numerous customer write ins about my customer service skills. Many inspections and job quotes I did led to our company getting the job because I connected with customers by being real and sincere and not selling them something that they didn't need. I was honest and upfront and treated my customers as I wanted to be treated and stayed in constant contact with them until the job was finished and put all their concerns to rest. Most of our work was from insurance claims and so I'm very familiar with the adjusting process which is why I decided to pursue it as a career.
