  • Spearheaded a food waste recovery and prep program in which student volunteers will take expired products, strip them for their base ingredients and cook them into new products.
  • These items will then be sold for low prices or given away for free.
  • The program aims to provide our community with an alternative to the heavily gentrified grocery chains in the area.
  • Reorganized the entire storage space and system, took inventory of 1,000s of items, became versed in data entry techniques, took measurements and ordered fixtures, networked with professionals to gain design insight, studied interior design and workplace psychology, researched ecological stewardship, fostered a sense of community and belonging amongst student volunteers while providing them food-service training and mentorship.
