- Perform nerve conduction studies under general supervision of a provider to assess the function of peripheral nerve pathways in an accurate and time-efficient manner
- Proficient in performing NCS studies including median nerve and motor studies, ulnar nerve and motor studies, medial antebrachial cutaneous nerve, lateral antebrachial cutaneous nerve, palmar and plantar comparisons, peroneal nerve and motor studies, tibial motor studies, sural nerve study, and F-waves

- Recognize, document and accurately report to the physician any abnormal latencies, amplitudes, waveforms or conduction velocities in the NCS
- Monitor level of patient cooperation and effect on data. Use methods to increase patient cooperation/relaxation
- Verify reports are attached to patient charts in an accurate and timely manner
- Fax completed reports to referring/treating physician in a timely manner
- Monitor inventory and notify appropriate parties when supplies are running low
- Administrative tasks including answering and returning patient phone calls, scheduling the NCS/EMG appointment for the patient, verify demographic and insurance information
- Maintain a full schedule for providers by utilizing a cancellation list and being proactive in making phone calls to schedule
