Horseback Riding
I've been riding horses since I was 2 years old and have been competing since I was 11. Horses have always been a major part of my life, and I currently own three of my own. One of them was my first horse, and she's still going strong and happy at 25 years old. I also rescued another mare last year and she's now 24 and it makes me so happy to see how much better she's doing since being rescued. I compete with my youngest horse in show jumping, and she's more challenging than any other horse I've worked with, but I love improving my problem solving and creativity while keeping things fun for everyone involved while I work on improving her training. The horses add so much happiness and purpose to my life, and I'm forever grateful to have a few of my own! Riding and competing has also brought me around a lot of amazing people and given me so many amazing opportunities. I won a show jumping scholarship for this year and was able to go to a high end show and rode with a trainer I had never met prior to the competition, and I was so grateful for how kind everyone was and for how welcoming they were. It's overall a very encouraging and motivating environment with the right people around
