I am very proud to have been choose to represent my beautiful country at Disney World (Epcot- Mexican Pavilion) I was able to interact with the guests, teach them about my heritage and customs, and make their time with us a magical experience!

During the year I was with Palmas Services- I learned about their multi-faceted operation.

  • La Cantina (Fast Food): Took orders, cash handling transactions, cleaning of the tables, keeping the area clean and ready for service, and in the kitchen fulfilling the orders
  • La Hacienda (Table Service): Started as runner/stock person- running out orders to the respective tables, graduated to Server where I greeted guests, upsold beverages and appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Responsible for all details of service including mis-en-place for upcoming courses, maintenance, and correctly closing checks.

Additional Information

I grew up in a family of educators, my mother was a teacher and worked with children in poverty in towns in Mexico. I was her companion during the afternoons when she had to travel to small communities. As soon as I was 18 I started working during summer breaks with in this communities and I was always first in line for my church missioners program. My best memories come from this summers and all the children I got to know and help.
