Work History

Chief of Custody

Jefferson City Correctional Center
Jefferson City, MO
08.2019 - Current
  • Promote teamwork and treating others like human beings.
  • Molding staff minds to manage offenders where they are. Not all residents are creating problems, and for that, we should manage them that way.
  • Promote a 'we' mentality instead of an 'us versus them' mentality.
  • Ensure a safe working environment through good safety and security practices.
  • Preparing others to take my position. This will allow the department to have better choices when, and if, I am no longer in my position.
  • Promote an environment where teamwork is across all areas: Medical, Mental Health, Classification, MVE, etc.
  • Starting the First GLA at JCCC. We have completed two GLS events at JCCC, and they were great. However, the staff and the residents want this type of teamwork to continue all year long, and this will accomplish that.
  • I have acted as the Deputy Warden on numerous occasions.
