· Responsible for A/R, A/P, NTO’s, Liens, tax compliance, bank reconciliation, loan maintenance
· Payroll on bi-weekly basis for several states
· Financial tasks - forecasting, budgeting and financial statement preparation.
· Established non-existing accounting department procedures day-to-day month-end, and year-end reporting
· Prepare adjusting journal entries for monthly and year-end financial statements
· Review contracts, schedules, bids, legal documents and project management
· Human resources tasks - employee policies, procedures, implementation and compliance of safety programs -(COBRA, OSHA, Drug Free workplace, Workers Compensation, E-Verify, Section 125, discrimination, benefits)
· Process 1099 and W-2 for each year
· Process all small businesses certification and supplier requests
· Prepare and file state sales tax
· Calculate and track commissions for sales, assist in preparation of proposals for projects
· Project coordinator tasks - reviewing and submitting project deliverables, prepare project schedules by utilizing Microsoft Projects, Excel, help coordinate logistics with clients
· Cultivate innovation and continuous improvement for organizational excellence
· Responsible for all accounting aspects A/R, A/P, payroll reporting, permitting, Liens, tax compliance
· Prepare construction contracts and schedules
· Project management duties such as budget preparation and cost management
· Prepare journal entries, reconciled bank accounts, reviewed Balance Sheet and Aging Reports
· Human resources duties such as onboarding new hires, training, employee benefits, state and federal compliances
· Created a new collection procedure which led to decreasing past due invoices and increasing the revenue as financial charges were imposed for aging.
· Created and enforced standard operating procedures for consistency and quality.
· Responsible for A/R, review employee’s timesheets, payroll, organize and file legal documents, assist with month-end closing financials, credit card and bank reconciliation.
· Responsible for front desk operations, administrative tasks such filing, data entry and reservation management. Received payments by clients as well scheduled events in the hotel by coordinating with management and clients.
