Production Engineer

Infraroad Trading & Contracting Company
01.2019 - 06.2022
  • Company Overview: Infraroad Asphalt Factory
  • Prepared regular look-ahead asphalt production schedules aligned with project demands, ensuring timely supply and coordination with site teams.
  • Managed raw material supply coordination by placing orders from approved sources (QPMC for aggregates, Woqod for Bitumen, Membco/Raetex for PMB/CRMB) based on project needs and available storage capacity, ensuring timely delivery, uninterrupted production, and efficient yard utilization—avoiding overstocking, congestion, or material returns due to lack of space, especially for binders where back-charging risks apply.
  • Coordinated the receipt of Asphalt binders (bitumen 60/70, PMB, CRMB) delivered by approved suppliers; ensured proper offloading into labeled storage tanks, verified delivery temperature and grade, and maintained full traceability supported by supplier test reports.
  • Supervised the handling, storage, and traceability of incoming aggregates and RAP from approved sources; ensured stockpiles are properly labeled and maintained free of contamination and intermixing across the storage yard, kept flat and evenly distributed to avoid cone-shaped formations and material segregation.
  • Ensured materials are sampled and tested upon arrival; approved materials only used in production following QA/QC acceptance.
  • Ensured asphalt mix designs are approved and properly loaded into the plant control system; verified binder type and correct tank assignment for each mix.
  • Maintained accurate daily logs of incoming materials and asphalt production, ensuring consistency between weighbridge tickets and batch reports.
  • Used SAP system to enter daily asphalt production orders and record raw material consumption; reconciled batch data with weighbridge measurements to verify incoming quantities and calculate material wastage.
  • Coordinated with procurement to ensure timely issuance of LPOs and with logistics to avoid material shortages or production delays.
  • Monitored environmental controls including filler recovery systems and dust suppression to maintain compliance with environmental and operational standards.
  • Inspected incoming material deliveries for conformance to documentation (delivery notes, test reports); ensured document control and traceability procedures were followed.
