Day porter My role as school janitor at the Legacy Traditional school is a day porter. I have many responsibilities such as cleaning the cafeteria area breakfast and lunch. I clean any emergencies throughout the day. As well as using the floor cleaner machine daily to clean the floors.

• Ensured that all hazardous materials were stored properly according to safety regulations.
• Cleaned bathrooms, replenished supplies and disposed of trash.
• Responded promptly to emergency situations such as floods or power outages.
• Cleaned building floors by sweeping, mopping or vacuuming.
• Serviced, cleaned and restocked restrooms.

• Performed general cleaning duties including dusting furniture, wiping down counters, desks, tables, sweeping, vacuuming floors.

• Swept and mopped floors, emptied trash receptacles, vacuumed carpets and upholstered furniture.
• Disinfected high-touch surfaces such as door handles and light switches on a regular basis.

• Report any damages found in the building premises to supervisors immediately for repair works.
