Public health researcher focusing on health equity, inclusive health systems, and universal health coverage (UHC) in low- and middle-income countries. Using a feminist lens, my work examines how power relations shape women’s position in health systems both as target populations and as decision-makers in policy and governance. I highlight overlooked dimensions of women’s health, including menstrual pain and the invisible care burdens women carry as both caregivers and patients. Complementing this perspective, I apply a Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) approach to examine how UHC policies can better respond to the needs of marginalized populations.
