My name is Nyah Sokhn Hijazi, and I am a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh, currently pursuing a B.S. in Psychology, a minor in Chemistry, and a certificate in Conceptual Foundations of Medicine. I am passionate about children's health and well-being, with the long-term goal of becoming a pediatric oncologist. Currently, I volunteer at The Children's Institute of Pittsburgh, where I support children with special needs in both their learning and personal development. On campus, I am an active member of the American Medical Student Association (AMSA) and the Red Cross Club, where I continue to build leadership, service, and healthcare-focused experiences. Through my studies, volunteer work, and campus involvement, I aim to build a strong foundation in medicine while continuing to serve and advocate for children's health.
