- Assessment & Planning: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, formulate nursing diagnoses, develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate individualized treatment plans.
- Medication Management: Administer psychotropic drugs, monitor for side effects, educate patients on adherence, and manage psychobiological treatments.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Provide individual, group, crisis intervention, stabilization, and teach coping mechanisms.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other providers for holistic patient care.
- Patient & Family Education: Assist patients and families in understanding mental health conditions, treatment, and self-care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely records in Electronic Health Records (EHRs).
- Safety & Environment: Manage milieu, ensure a safe therapeutic environment, and perform restraints when necessary.
