  • Identify and evaluate critical risk areas of the customer`s health compliance environment and provided key input to developing the audit programs tailored for specific controls
  • Propose and recommend policy changes to follow HIPPA rules and PHI documentation to be automated in IT controls and ensure periodic checks for compliance
  • As part of the recommendations, medication administration was changed from a manual to an automated method where each medication is scanned with a time stamp and administered before it’s recorded in the system, this eliminated medication errors and ensured accurate medication counts before being sent to the shelf for storage
