• Prepare assignments for CNAs and Nursing staff in the unit, and ensures assignments are carried out according to facility protocol and guidelines.
• Give morning reports to staff in the unit .
• Give health education to residents and families on admission and during discharges.
• Performs required assessments and evaluates interventions according to facility procedures and policies.
• Makes periodic rounds and ensures residents are in safe environment.
• Ensures residents are prepared for in-house and outside appointments.
• Set-up intravenous fluids with accuracy according to established guidelines and procedures.
• Ensures Physician orders are carried out before and after appointments
• Organize and maintain flow of assignment in the unit according to facility procedures.
• Ensures supplies, medications and hospital equipment are adequately stocked in the unit.
• Collaborate closely with Doctors to clearly communicate patient care plans and updates with patients and families.

• Prepare work schedules and assign daily duties to staff.
• Write annual evaluation reports on staff under my supervision.
• Ensure compliance with nursing procedures and techniques, physical safety requirements of clients and family, as well as staff to ensure a safe working environment.
• Orientate new personnel to the facility in accordance to the hospital standard operational procedures.
• Take inventory of all materials and equipment within the facility, and process for replenishment of faulty and worn-out equipment.
• Give health education to clients and families on admission and discharge.
