1. Maintains necessary accounting records and documents in accordance with Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Maryland Board of Pharmacy and JHHS requirements to show the proper receipt and expenditures of Narcotics in your custody.
2. Maintains adequate PAR levels in CII safe and the Unit Pyxis Medstations.
3. Ensure optimal utilization of medications before expiration by rotating stock within the CII Safe.
4. Ensure monthly CII Safe inventory is completed by Pharmacist and Technician.
5. Inventories and scans all bar-coded items to ascertain an accurate count and condition upon receiving shipment.
6. Performs DAILY Compare Reports for correctness of delivery and ensures completeness of all transaction paperwork. Reports immediately to Operations manager and Director of Pharmacy ALL discrepancies.
7. Reports directly to Medication Safety Officer of any discrepancies in daily inventory of the CII Safe
8. Maintaining the operational efficiency of the Smart Sink. Perform monthly inspections of the Cactus Smart Sink for full cartridges of liquid and solid waste making sure the waste is unrecoverable, non-retrievable and unusable.
9. Maintains necessary accounting records and documents of disposal per regulatory guidelines in accordance with Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Maryland Board of Pharmacy and JHHS.

Contributes to the effective operation of the dept.
5. Answers the telephone, identifying self and department. Directs call to appropriate personnel.
6. Answers requests at the window and makes stat deliveries to patient care areas when requested.
7. Fills physician orders and stock requisitions accurately.
8. Replenishes medications in emergency crash carts or floor stock areas accurately.
9. Keeps pharmacy areas clean, neat, and well-organized. Keeps pharmacy equipment clean. Initiates work orders when appropriate.
10. Attends pharmacy staff meetings.
