Give compassionate care to critically ill patients, trauma, hyper/hypoglycemic episodes, seizure, Cardiac arrest, Acute Coronary Syndromes, management of patients with various respiratory and lung problems, mechanical ventilators, Gastrointestinal related issues. Assess, diagnose within the scope of practice, implement, evaluate and record patient symptoms. Manage Life support equipment, administer medication, IV fluids and meds, monitor telemetry and respond to codes. Assist medical doctors during exams, procedures, and surgeries. Monitor and report changes to patient behavior and symptoms to on-call physicians. Educate patients about self-care, healthy habits, and disease prevention. Interpreting and reporting critical lab values in a timely manner, as well as collaborating with other medical providers or specialists regarding patient care. Diagnose, establish and review patient treatment plans and measure progress, adjusting as needed per the care plan. Maintain an accurate patient medical record and computer charting. Trained as a Charge Nurse Educate family members about patient conditions and accommodate them with emotional support.
