• Daily supervision of medical laboratory technicians & Intern medical laboratory Scientists and motivating them to complete their duties effectively in line with the standard operating procedure & the laboratory quality manual system
• Collaborated with other departments to ensure accuracy & improvement in turn-around-time
• Training of new laboratory employees including intern medical laboratory Scientists, laboratory assistants and laboratory scientist/technologist and providing team members with daily objectives, developing and implementing reward systems to motivate deserving laboratory employee of the month
• Communicating with upper management to determine the best method of meeting the laboratory business goals
• Issuance of work orders for repairs of faulty laboratory equipment
• Active participation in the recruitment of new medical laboratory interns and Histology technologists
• Grading / Assessment of intern medical laboratory scientists training logbook
• Processing of surgical and autopsy tissue specimen using either manual or the Leica Automatic tissue processor, Leica Embedding center, Leica Rotary Microtome for section cutting, routine staining of the cut sections for H & E staining technique and other special histochemical stains upon request by the Consultant Histopathologist
• Processing & staining of both gynecological & non-gynecological specimens including Fine needle aspirated specimen and cervical smear
• Reagent validation, preparation of control sections for the laboratory quality control measures & external quality assurance, Trouble – shooting and resolution of non-conformance
• Laboratory store inventories and quarterly stock analytic reporting into the database of the Laboratory information management system
• Rendering assistance to both undergraduates and graduate students whenever needed and in relation to computer related tasks
• Monitoring of computer laboratory activities to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures
• Provided basic technical support and guidance to users on software applications and hardware usage
• Rendering setup and configuration of computers and software for laboratory sessions and classes

• Adhered strictly to established laboratory safety & quality control protocols
• Participated actively during the laboratory Clinical meeting and writing of minutes during the meeting for proper follow-up
