  • Identification of shoe beam and Current collector parts (materials) like fulcrum,end cap,fuse housing,cable termial and cable lead shield.
  • Built and stripping shoe beam and current collector for R62,R62A,R142, R141A and R160.
  • Team 3 Inspection gang (Propulsion)
  • Propulsion compactment inspected like capacitor,resistor,contactor tip on R142 and R142A
  • checks were made on quick connect cable, o-ring,current collector contact shoe gauge, travel pin,tested fuse continuity,37.5v battery electrolyte level,batteries terminals in caseof corrosion,portable equipment used for downloading and reading low voltages.
  • Maintenance,preventive and corrective were done re- installed of defective quick connect cable, o- ring rubber, ground brushes, blown,contactor tips inside the low voltage propulsion box, cleaning of corrosive batteries terminals to prevent grounding and overheating, topping of low electrolyte of the batteryand in order to maintained stability in the system.
  • Purpose of knife switch in theshop Small Bugs used to power all axillary equipment like Converter,Hvac,Lighting and 37.5vbox and Big Bugs to power propulsion compactment box to determine dead traction motor.
  • Performed and documented walk-around inspections.

  • Responses to troubles train like Door enable,lost of indication,stuck brake, door failed to close or open in route,flutuation on duplex gauge, Dark sealed beam, and dark car, propulsion issues and water leak from the roof HVAC problem.
  • Temporary solution were made in order to manager time for other trains in revenue services to meet up with interval.
  • During winter Heat survey were conducted to determine actual temperature, while in summer A/C were also conducted for comforted customer.
  • Detailed and thorough train trouble reports were made for solution to done in after service in the barn.
