Oleg Nikitin

I am employed in the neurosurgical department, fulfilling roles as both a ward physician and an attending physician in the emergency department. My responsibilities involve aiding patients with urgent and scheduled neurosurgical conditions. I specialize in spinal neurosurgery, addressing spinal trauma and degenerative spinal conditions, as well as treating cranial-brain traumas, craniofacial injuries, acute cerebrovascular disorders, tunnel syndromes, and hydrocephalus. Throughout my career, I have conducted numerous surgeries of diverse complexity, with an average of approximately 70-80 surgical procedures performed annually.

During my time, I was tasked with offering consultations and transferring patients with diverse neurosurgical conditions from non-specialized departments of Moscow hospitals, along with executing emergency neurosurgical procedures directly at the location. Throughout my tenure, I conducted numerous consultations and conducted 16 on-site surgeries within hospital wards, primarily due to the patients' inability to be transported due to their condition.

My duties encompassed overseeing the standard of medical care delivered in neurosurgical departments under the Moscow Department of Health. I compiled assessments regarding work quality, surgical operations, mortality rates, and other pertinent factors based on statistical analysis. Moreover, I arranged seminars and conferences for the heads of neurosurgical departments, focusing on pivotal matters concerning disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Facilitating communication between the organizational and methodological department and the heads of all neurosurgical departments across Moscow was also integral to my role.
