Review & evaluate staff’s work to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and laws. Accompany staff, on occasion, into the field for training and verification that job duties are being completed properly. Assist staff with field duties during times of high demand when needed.

Prepare annual budget and capital outlay plan. Manage budget throughout the year and requisition supplies as needed.

Participate with the DHEC Bureau of Laboratories West Nile Surveillance program which includes submitting mosquitoes from trap collections and birds acceptable for testing. Lead vector-borne disease investigations when they occur.
