As a server I am the person the guests sees the most. My job was to make sure all the guests were happy with what they have ordered. Making sure that no matter they day they are having, it is my job to give them the most welcoming experience as I can. It is a very fast paced environment and you are always on the move so it is important to stay organized.
Indiana Wesleyan University has a organization called Ignite. Ignite is like Dance marathon but we donate all of our proceeds to Peyton Manning Children's Hospital. My position is the Director of Morale and my job is to get the campus involved and interested in Ignite. I planned the bigger events and I was the person to get everyone excited about what is to come.
Being the manager I do a lot of behind the scenes work and also being proactive during intramural games. Due to this job I have learned how to deal and resolve conflict in a quick and effective manner. I also get the opportunity to form campus connections and relationships with a lot of different kinds of people everyday. The main part of my job is to be able to correctly referee all different kinds of sports and answer any questions or concerns brought to my attention.
During the Boys and Girls Clubs summer camp I was in charge of the room that would tutor the students during the summer. I was making lessons for the subjects and would teach the kids at the club. The ages of the students ranged from 5-13 years old; this required me to build a simple summer curriculums for different grade levels so they wouldn't fall behind in school since school was out.
