I have multiple certifications including advanced cardiac life support, pre-hospital traumatic life support, pediatric advanced life support, IBSC flight paramedic certification, and I hold instructor certifications in both GEMS and TCCC/CLS. I recently served as a flight paramedic on a busy rotor-wing aircraft, as well as, remained active on a busy 911 ambulance service. Previously, I worked as a captain of EMS for an extremely busy 911 ambulance service in Ware County, Ga. As a supervising medical crew member, I maintained the upmost positive work environment ensuring positive morale and ensuring proper and effective critical patient care to the highest standard. I am required every shift to make rapid life changing decisions based on patient presentation without direct medical supervision, relying only on certification and up to date education. Before my EMS career I spent nearly 10 years as a member of the United States Navy obtaining the rank of HM2 (E-5). While in the military, I served multiple tours in Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Javelin Thrust, Black Sea Rotational Forces, Operation Spearhead, amongst many others. During the time of enlistment, I served as the senior line corpsman serving not only as a combat entity, but as the sole tactical medical asset for more than 60 Marines at any given time along with small unit movements of 4-5 fireteam members. While deployed to Iraq in 2008, I served as an augmentee to the United States Army as a flight corpsman on a medical helicopter squadron for 6 months, as well as, intermitted periods of service as a light armored reconnaissance corpsman. I obtained multiple certifications for military and civilian flight including NOMI in-flight care, Army sanctioned N-9 flight medic certifications in all three phases, en-route care specialty for both ground and aviation, along with IBSC approved courses resulting in FP-C credentialing. I also have experience in the mechanical and aerospace engineering field as I served as an apprentice. Chosen amongst other applicants, I studied and operated a wide range of heavy machinery to complete tasks involving interspace satellites, laser machinery, senior project completion, solar powered car racing, formula cart dynamics, and other projects assigned by senior lab advisors. Currently, I operate as a paramedic on advanced life support ambulances that cover multiple counties maintaining as many aspects of EMS and patient care I can. Finally, I have trained alongside special response law enforcement units holding a certification in civilian tactical emergency casualty care (TECC) for disaster responses along with NIMS 100/200/700/800 certifications.
