Customer focused mindset. I want what's best for the customers and do what I can to make sure they have good experiences.
Hygiene compliance During COVID
I had to make sure my space was clean. I was using hand sanitizer and wiping down my register every hour. It helped me maintain a clean space after lockdown was lifted.
Time management. I made sure to get to work 15 minutes early in order to take some time for myself and not be a minute late.
Adaptability and flexibility. Because of the lockdown
I had to adapt and change with the store since there were different rules set in place and ended up having to do different tasks I had not done before. It helped me a lot when it came to sudden big changes in my environment.
Patience and composure. I had to make sure I maintained a good attitude with customers who gave me a hard time because they were having a bad day. Everyone has their moments and it's important to make sure they're treated with kindness and patience.
Strong work ethic. When I get a job
I stick to it and do it to the best of my abilities.
Working with a child that has autism has helped me with my patience as well and how important it is to understand what people like and don't like in forms of physical touch
texture
noises
and more.
Babysitting has helped me have even more compassion for those around me. You may never know what someone is going through that day or that month and it may show in ways that seem personal to you
but is about their experiences and how they're feeling.
