• Float to Rady Children's Hospital satellite NICUs weekly

• Skills and knowledge in ventilators, feeding tubes, medication drips, and PO feedings
• Experience with high frequency oscillatory ventilation, vasopressor drips, blood product transfusions and drips, lab draws, obtaining peripheral venous and central line access
• Strong experience with micropreemies, acute respiratory distress, surgical patients, trach/vent, and high-risk deliveries
• Work closely with neonatologists, NNPs, RT, PT, OT and lactation, and establish rapport with families
• Precepting new graduate nurses, new hire nurses and nursing students
• Member of unit-based committees such as the Safe Sleep Committee and Delivery Team.

• Provide timely, compassionate and thorough care to postpartum women, their newborns and their family
• Perform state blood screen, bilirubin screen and bath on newborns
• Collect maternal vital signs, remove foley catheters and collect sterile urine samples
• Communicate patient concerns, abnormal findings and completed care activities to the RN

• Provide childcare for two summers for a local family's infant daughter and toddler son
• Encourage motor skill development, prepared healthy meals, and provided daily care
• Incorporate reading, crafts, learning, exercise and life-skills into our daily activities.

• Provide companionship and brought a positive attitude to the work environment.
• Practice collaboration skills with the RNs and CNAs.
• Check vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation levels.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing and dressing.
