As a associate of Aldi Inc, there are many things I do. There is a delivery of product everyday and the pallets with the product on it must be completed within 30 minutes for efficiency. I stock items on the shelf while making sure to rotate old product to the front and new to the back, checking dates of items and throwing away any bad product. Customer service is also a big part of my job as well. I sometimes have to ring up customers assisting them with their groceries, handling cash and card transactions and answering any questions they may have. I also work self checkout helping customers ring up an item or remove an item for them. Some other duties include cleaning the store which involves sweeping the floors, scrubbing, taking out the trash, refilling soaps and toilet paper in the bathrooms and break rooms , and continuously wiping down counter tops and any areas that are touched a lot to keep the store sanitary for customers. As a Aldi associate it is important to be kind to customers providing them great costumer service, being a flexible and fast worker and always having a positive attitude while working.
During my time at Giant I had many roles. I first started out in the front end as a cashier ringing customers bagging their groceries and handling cash and card transactions. I then got moved up to customer service desk where I assisted customers with returns , money orders, sending money to family or friends, lottery and all other requests a customer may have had, I also helped cashiers when they needed help and gave them their breaks as well. I also moved to a stocking position of health and beauty product. In this position I separated products, put them on the shelf, scanned products for inventory and moved them to different places if needed. Another role I had was changing tags every Friday for the new week so priced of items matched the weekly ads. I also had cleaning duties as well such as cleaning spills and wiping down any areas that appeared to be dirty.
