I recently graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Integrated Studies degree. After graduating from Pope County Community High School, I attended Southeastern Illinois Community College. After completing most of my general studies and enrolling in the nursing program, I realized that my career calling was in Human Services, rather than nursing. Upon enrolling at MSU, my primary education focus was directed towards a career in that field. I believe that my initial educational background in the medical field combined with the many hours of social work, counseling and administrative courses completed will uniquely qualify me to be an asset to any employer.
Most of my employment history has been seasonal and part-time, scheduled around my education. Primarily in the retail and customer service industry, I have gained knowledge and respect from each of my employers and co-workers. I consider myself a team player and I truly believe that working and serving the public has given me skills that will be valuable to myself, my clients and my employer as I progress towards my career goals.
I am married and have one child, a two year old daughter. We live on a small farm near Golconda, Illinois. I love animals and enjoy the many pets that reside with us at our farm. Being a wife and mother has also taught me many lessons about service to others that I believe will be helpful in the career path I have chosen. I enjoy cooking, traveling and spending time with my family.
I am excited to take the next step in my career!
