Projects

ASU Capstone Project: Automation System Test Fixture

Description: Partnered with Summit Automation to design and engineer an automation system test fixture for configuring and testing motor and gearbox assemblies in pivot door systems. Led a team in building a test fixture and programming a configurator for optimal motor and gearbox ratios based on door parameters. Designed the mechanical components using SolidWorks and contributed to the final assembly. The test fixture applied torque to the selected motor-gearbox combination using a cable weight machine, ensuring accurate and safe testing on Summit Automation's production floor.

Role: Designed the test fixture in SolidWorks, contributed to the final assembly, and designed the motor mount system.

Achievements: Successfully delivered a functional test fixture, meeting project requirements and ensuring accurate torque measurement.

Model Rocket Design and Analysis

Description: Engineered a solid rocket motor for a model rocket, including chemical requirements for stoichiometric combustion. Utilized MS Excel for calculations, predicting the rocket's trajectory through mathematical analysis. Designed and built the rocket, validating trajectory predictions through testing.

Role: Designed the rocket's nozzle and body.

Achievements: Successfully predicted and validated the trajectory of the model rocket, demonstrating effective design and engineering analyses.
