Summary
I have worked in the arts at both the amateur and professional level over the last 20 years. I am heavily involved in my community. I serve as a member of Dogwood Arts Council as well as the Play Selection Committee for the Texas Theatre. My time at SFA started because I wanted to major in Theatre Education. During my time in undergrad I cultivated a deeper knowledge of theatrical practices, but found an incredible interest in Psychology. I later decided to reroute and minor in Psychology. I have a deep love for the arts and my experience teaching for the last 4 years has furthered my desire to encourage the same for the youth of our community. I want to help those around me, and while my platform as a theatre teacher does afford me the opportunity to work with the public, I desire to help and serve in a different capacity as I pursue a graduate degree.
