District Visual Manager

Kohl's
03.2001 - 08.2024
  • I was responsible for my District Visual position as well as the Visual Merchandiser at my home store. Daily tasks would include greeting and helping customers. Did occasional MOD (manager on duty) shifts which entailed solving customer and register issues. Assisted on registers whenever needed. Always working to coach store associates and supervisors to build merchandising skills. Ensuring all standards and floor sets were done in a timely and standard driven process and helping to put out new freight efficiently and properly. This also included keeping track of department sales reports and changing merchandising strategy to directly effect sales. Held responsibility of being the only direct person of contact between my 17 District stores to Corporate regarding Visual, merchandising and graphics. Took weekly conference calls with Corporate and compile that information in order to hold my own weekly conference calls that all store managers, assistant managers and Visual Merchandisers would attend to convey that week's goals and tasks. Communication lines were always open in order to field any and all questions big and small to all Visual Merchants and members of management. In addition to helping open every new store and completing full remodels within my District, I was also sent out of state multiple times to help with store openings across the country.

Assistant Manager

Lazarus
05.1999 - 03.2001
  • Worked with my manager to help create schedules. Had management shifts within my floor of the building to help with customer service and keeping associates on task. I would concentrate on customer service first and foremost while completing all daily tasks including freight processing, merchandising and working resister. I would help with interview processes.
  • I would attend daily management meetings. I would work to coach and build talent within my department.
