Social Media & Digital Media Student Shadow (May 2024) Philadelphia Union – Senior Comprehensive Project

• Conducted a month-long project shadowing the Philadelphia Union's social media and digital team to explore the essential question: "How does sports media inspire the next generation of athletes?"
• Dedicated 18 hours per week in the office, focusing on the signing and development of Cavan Sullivan through social media channels, with an extended analysis on women’s sports, including the growth of NCAA Women’s March Madness and Adidas' 2024 campaign to empower young girls to stay in sport.
• Key contributions and responsibilities included:

- Writing three published articles for the Union's website: two match previews and one press conference recap

- Shadowing Cavan Sullivan’s signing project, attending his media day and press conference, and monitoring social media platforms post-announcement to track engagement

- Collaborating with the digital team in content creation and strategy development for social media campaigns

- Participating in staff meetings to gain insight into the team's planning and execution of content across multiple platforms

- Analyzing engagement metrics across Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and TikTok using Google Sheets to track the performance of various posts
