I am a creative illustrator with a proven track record, skilled in digital illustration and visual storytelling. Adept at managing time effectively while producing engaging character designs and layouts. Passionate about teaching art, having guided students through various mediums, and recognized for winning the state in nationals. As well as winning first place in the state fair three years in a row.
As an illustrator, people have paid me to design characters and layouts, covers as well. I do have a published children's book under my pen name, I am almost done with my second as of four months.
As a receptionist at an art school, I helped students enroll into art classes. Took tuition and sold art supplies. Processed auto payments and answered business calls. As well as answering any questions a customer and/or students may have regarding the school, class or even payment information.
Here I worked a lot with communication to art teachers and management about class and student information. I was great at preparing and presenting the school, since I opened the building every morning. I turned on all the lights, vacuumed, swept and mopped. I dusted, wiped surfaces, decorated for every season, and organized every book shelf each week. I played a very important role, logging a large amount of student information into the school. That being registration forms, contact and payment information. I prepared and printed every document the school would need and kept them up to date. I even got the mail and carried in Amazon packages before I opened and addressed them. Lastly, I stocked every single bathroom full of paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap and menstrual products.
As an art instructor, I worked with kids of all ages. Taught them personally what to do, and how to understand shapes, color and lighting. I took them step by step, through the span of weeks to even months, showing them how to use charcoal, pastels and oil paints. There we take time to really understand and work each individual student, and how to push them through their comfort zone but not out of their own understanding (Depending on if they’re children, adults or seniors.) We worked through different art references, like animals, still life, landscapes, human anatomy and sea life. To help build an idea of how to mimic life’s textures in art.
I myself have taken art lessons for 9 years now, within the next five years I aspire to have published children’s books. In 2022, I competed in the national Duck Stamp Contest, and won first in state. As well as first in the Clark
County fairs.
