  • Prophylaxis Compliance, 03/01/21, Worked with Monash University Australia to liaise with various health care professionals in clinical settings, to collect and collate data to improve VTE prescribing policy within the hospital workplace. Developed an audit tool to assess VTE prophylaxis in the study population across Mercy Health Hospital sites in Melbourne, Australia. Delivered and presented the research results to internal stakeholders for qualitative assessment of VTE hospital guidelines. Facilitated a discussion on hereditary thrombophilia and its impact on VTE prophylaxis prescribing. Advocated for clinical interventions on wards via communication with the Pharmacist if VTE prophylaxis was not optimal for patients. Seventeen cases of non-compliance to VTE Guidelines were identified, investigated, and remedied as a result.
  • Anticholinergic Burden in adults 65 and older (Masters Research Project), 05/01/22, Identified a gap in research on the incidence of Anticholinergic Burden in the 65 and over population. Conducted literature review of both the Australian demographic and a foreign country with comparable health outcomes, the United States of America. Observed Anticholinergic Burden in the study population and collated data in a primary health care setting. Presented research poster of findings to Monash University Pharmacy Faculty: audience included colleagues, professors, and experts in the relevant area of research.
