Patient Care Assistants (PCAs) work under the supervision of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) or Registered Nurses (RNs) to deliver essential support and ensure the comfort and well-being of patients. Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and record patients’ vital signs, promptly reporting changes or concerning symptoms to the RN.
• Assist patients with meals, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met.
• Support patients with mobility, including walking, repositioning, and transfers between bed and wheelchair.
• Maintain clean and organized patient environments, including changing bed linens regularly.
• Provide and clean bedpans, ensuring patient dignity and comfort.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and oral care.
