  • Designed wire harnesses with robust military vehicle applications.
  • Performed all stages of harness design, from choosing connectors, backshells (and clocking), boots, spring adapters, adhesives, splices, shield terminations. Ensured harness drawing notes contained all necessary assembly instructions needed for the shop to build, ensured wiring tables and multicore tables properly indicated shield locations, etc. Ensured branch markers correctly displayed necessary mating details.
  • Performed calculations necessary to determine the correct braid and insulated sleeving sizes.
  • Performed all steps of schematic capture process, from pinouts to device/assembly creation, wiring, multicores, splices, where to choose jacks vs plugs, etc. Strong design fundamentals.
  • Released harness drawings, Wiring Diagrams, harness routings.
  • Lead programs as harness design lead, overseeing all aspects described above performed by the team, performing all major checkpoint meetings (CDR, PDR, etc.), leading discussions on issues related to fit constraints and part availability, and ensuring timely delivery of wiring harnesses to meet trial fit date.
  • Demonstrated high level understanding of mentor software suite; Capital Logic/ Harness Design XC / etc.
  • Demonstrated a strong understanding of teamcenter browser suite for workflow processing, and teamcenter model suite for document lookup and browsing parts and installation kits on the model.
  • Participated heavily in the digital transformation process - heavily utilized in my old position to process partBOM workflows for the team due to upper level understanding of the teamcenter workflow process and strong connections made with design services and configuration management.
