Assisted crew in maintenance, commissioning and repairing of station transformers, LTCs, circuit breakers, portable substations, installed and maintained station batteries, installing conduit, pipe, pull cable and terminate conductors as needed, replaced nitrogen bottles as well as installing more nitrogen as needed, and purity tested SF6 gas as well as filling up new circuit breakers.

Conducted station switching communicating with dispatch, and following direct switching orders to ensure the section of the sub and/or equipment is correctly de-energized, Strictly followed minimum approach distances, LOTO, de-energized tests, and placed personal protective grounds as directed.

Conducted various tests involving oil samples, electrical tests, TTR, Doble, core megger and resistance for transformer testing, plus many more as well as making visual inspections such as check lights, heaters, circuit breaker counters, oil levels, and bus connections. Read gauges such as voltmeters, ammeters, pressure and level gauges and reported any abnormal conditions to my supervisor and dispatch.

• Opened and closed switches to isolate defective relays, performing adjustments or repairs following LOTO procedures.
• Repaired, replaced and cleaned equipment and components such as circuit breakers, load break switches, and arrestors, etc. on live yards.
• Tested insulator resistance after splicing control cables to ensure proper relaying.
• Lead crews performing tasks such as setting steel, installing jumpers (string bus) , above / below grade grounding, and conduit, building MOD switches, and load break, 34.5 kv switches following the timing and finalization on them, and also building of capacitor banks / reactors.
• Operated mechanical equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, excavators, man lifts, and trenchers.
• Performed above / below grade grounding tasks.
• Performed above / below grade conduit tasks. (Rigid, PVC)
• Completed terminations within MV breakers following the corresponding blueprints.

• Scheduled and supervised splicing or termination of cables in color-code order.
• Repaired, replaced and cleaned equipment and components such as circuit breakers, brushes and commutators.
• Opened and closed switches to isolate defective relays, performing adjustments or repairs.
• Performed below / above grade grounding.
• Operated mechanical equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, man lifts, and trenchers.
• Build 230 kv switches and 34.5 switches according to blueprints.
