Work History

Internal Medicine Residency

Albany Medical Center
Albany, United States of America
08.2022 - 07.2025
  • ACGME Residency
  • Director: Michael Rosenblum , MD
  • Description: During my residency training at a tertiary referral center, I gained comprehensive clinical experience that has prepared me to be a well-rounded, confident physician. I received extensive exposure to critical care and cardiac critical care, managing acutely ill patients in high-pressure environments, and performing a range of procedures, including central lines, arterial lines, paracentesis, and thoracentesis. A cornerstone of our inpatient training was the hematology-oncology rotation, where we were deeply involved in the management of complex cases, including hematologic emergencies, and rare oncologic complications. The diverse patient population and broad referral base of our institution ensured that I encountered a wide spectrum of pathologies, allowing me to develop strong diagnostic and clinical reasoning skills across a variety of medical disciplines.

Chief Resident, Simulation and Ultrasound

Albany Medical Center
Albany, United States of America
- Current
  • This experience had a great impact on my growth as both a leader and educator. I trained internal medicine (IM) residents on Point Of Care Ultrasound (POCUS), conducting training sessions on simulated models and real patients. I developed a structured curriculum for POCUS, delivering lectures on fundamental principles such as cardiac windows, volume assessment, cardiac function assessment, etc. Additionally, in response to procedure delays due to Vascular Interventional Radiology's busy schedule, I have established and led an internal medicine resident procedure team. This initiative aims to enhance IM residents' procedural skills through hands-on experience and ultimately improve care delivery.
  • Being elected chief resident by my colleagues was very rewarding. In this leadership role, I have made impactful changes, implemented innovations, and integrated teaching with applied sciences, making a lasting institutional difference.

Instructor for Point of Care Ultrasound training

Society Of Critical Care Medicine
- Current
  • I completed the Point of Care Ultrasound Course by the Society of Critical Care Medicine. I was rewarded with serving as an associate faculty member and an instructor in the “Fundamentals of Critical Care Ultrasound” courses conducted at Albany Medical Center. My responsibilities were to deliver comprehensive training to participants on ultrasound examinations on standardized patients. This experience strengthened my skills in ultrasound and teaching.

Quality improvement Project Leader, Implementing IPASS for Hand-off

Albany Medical Center
Albany, United States of America
- Current
  • A quality improvement project started with the 2023 ACGME annual results survey showing that transfer of care satisfaction at our institution was lower than the national average. I led the initiative to improve the handoff process by working with our program director. A questionnaire was sent to residents to identify areas of improvement. Implementing IPASS as the model for handoff, the intervention included lectures and interactive workshops on handoff scenarios. Post-interventional analysis, including the ACGME 2024 survey and the initial questionnaire, showed improvement. This experience holds great significance for me due to its positive impact on patient safety. This project was presented at our AMC resident research day. Leading this project solidified the critical importance of feedback and teamwork. By integrating education and implementing our strategies effectively, we achieved the desired outcomes that positively impacted patient safety.

Cardiac Critical Care Unit (CCU) Curriculum Establishment and Education

Albany Medical Center
Albany, United States of America
- Current
  • Lacking clear Cardiology Critical Care (CCU) educational sessions, my team, composed of 2 residents, a cardiology fellow, and a supervising attending, developed a comprehensive CCU curriculum covering essential topics. These included defining types of shock, managing brady/tachyarrhythmias, understanding inotropes and mechanical support, and STEMI management protocols. We organized and delivered five lectures on these subjects; in each lecture, we included interactive pre- and post-tests to assess knowledge enhancement and ensure thorough understanding among residents. This experience significantly improved our residents’ understanding of CCU topics while simultaneously enhancing my own knowledge and my skills as an educator. This experience reinforced the idea that becoming an educator is a long journey and an interactive and dynamic process requiring continuous learning and development.

Journal Editor; Albany Med Review

Albany Medical Center
Albany, United States of America
- Current
  • Aiming to improve the research curriculum at my institution, I led the initiative to re-establish a journal at Albany Medical Center/College. Collaborating closely with the chief of research, we created a platform for residents to share their scholarly work. This experience significantly enhanced my ability to analyze literature and greatly encouraged residents to engage in and share their research work at our institution.
