I was very much involved in sports through my High School journey. I affiliated myself with basketball very much and played with the Varsity Basketball team. In addition, I ran Track & Field and was a sprinter for my High School. Lastly, I played American Tackle Football for 1 year on Varsity. Involving myself in sports gave me great amounts of wisdom and guidance I never had growing up. It also kept me in great condition and on top of my academics.
First and foremost, I just want to start by saying I didn't have it easy growing up. Growing up through the foster was a huge obstacle for me being the oldest of 5 kids. I had to play an important role. I couldn't become a failure and let all my problems that going on in my life be the excuses for me to slack off. I had to work extra hard than the average kid. I promised myself I was not going to live the same life my parents put me through. Every single educational achievement I received was because of my hard work and goals. No matter what someone is going through they still have all the reasons in the world to get themselves out of that situation even if their parents aren't raising them the way they're supposed to be.
