While assigned to Maritime Expeditionary Security Group Two, Detachment Bahrain, from February 2021 to September 2022, Seaman Rubio superbly led eight Sailors in providing 360-degree point defense aboard two high-value assets throughout the Fifth and Sixth Fleet Areas of Responsibility. His efforts directly contributed to the successful completion of four high-threat chokepoint transits, eleven port visits, and ten underway replenishments.
