Field Medical Technician: (E-4) US Navy, Active - JUN 24 - SEP24

• Role: Field Medical Technicians are Navy Hospital Corpsman trained to serve with the Fleet Marine Force. They gain essential skills required to provide medical support in an expeditionary environment.

• Learn, teach and master field medicine using the principles of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC).

• Administered intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal injections, assessed medical conditions, diseases, and injuries, obtained vital signs, and assisted healthcare providers with treatment and medical procedures.
• Counseled patients regarding treatment plans, monitored fluid intake and output, performed urinary catheterization, performed first aid, and operated medical equipment including EKG, AED, BP cuff, suction devices, and O2 tanks.

Hospitalman (HN) US Navy, Active - Aug 2023 - Sep 2023

• Performed duties as an assistant in the prevention and treatment of disease and injury, including first aid and preventive medicine procedures.
• Assisted with physical examinations, provided patient care and administration of medicinal and parenteral solutions.
• Performed general laboratory, pharmacy, and other patient support services.
• Assisted in administrative supply and accounting procedures within medical departments ashore, afloat, and with the Marine Corps.
• Instructed medical and non-medical personnel in first aid, self-aid, personal hygiene, and medical records maintenance, and assisted in the transportation of the sick and injured.
