Work History

Computer Engineering Intern

Brown Deer Technology LLC
Forest Hill, USA
05.2024 - Current
  • Assist in testing RISC-V processor designs using a combination of C, Python, and RISC-V assembly programming.
  • Support processor designs by creating and maintaining support documents, such as processor specifications and programmers' guides.
  • Lead a project dedicated to reducing a processor design.
  • Monitored and reported on project progress to engineering team.
  • Test physically fabricated chips using a microcontroller to drive and test signal outputs on a test board.

IT Support Intern

UMBC Facilities Management
Baltimore, USA
06.2023 - 05.2024
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix IT-related issues that appear throughout the facilities management department.
  • Upgrade PC systems to ensure that machines meet the requirements to be able to run necessary applications for all members of Facilities Management.
  • Research the advantages, disadvantages, and concerns of using different products and services.
  • Provide support for devices such as printers, different PC parts, and services that require paid licenses.

Projects

Processor Reduction Design Project, August 2024 - Present

  • As a Computer Engineering Intern, in charge of developing a reduced processor design for use in devices such as low power microcontrollers or sensors. Project required reducing an already developed RISC-V design into a smaller more compact chip. In addition, documentation was made for easier understanding of the small ISA differences.

Remote Mapping System Project, September - Present,

  • Designed, implemented, and documented a design for a mapping system module. Module can be mounted to a movement device (i.e., drone or RC Car) and generate a map of its surroundings. Module uses YOLOv3 object detection to mark hazards and people on the generated map. In addition, map generation uses LiDAR and Raspberry Pi 5 for processing.

Cache Design Project, April 2024 - May 2024

  • Designed, developed, and documented a design for a 16-byte cache block. Created VHDL code, cadence schematics, and cadence layouts for all gates and modules needed for the cache design. Project was tested by driving inputs and verifying that outputs are valid. Timing for the cache was evaluated during the testing process.

Coursework

  • Data Structures & Operating Systems
  • Quantum Computer Programming
  • Embedded Systems & FPGA's

Organizations

  • Tau Beta Pi, October - Present: Joined as a junior, required being in top 1/8th of my engineering class.
  • Boy Scouts of America, September 2014 - May 2021: Achieved Eagle Scout Rank.
