Projects
Processor Reduction Design Project, August 2024 - Present
As a Computer Engineering Intern, in charge of developing a reduced processor design for use in devices such as low power microcontrollers or sensors. Project required reducing an already developed RISC-V design into a smaller more compact chip. In addition, documentation was made for easier understanding of the small ISA differences.
Remote Mapping System Project, September - Present,
Designed, implemented, and documented a design for a mapping system module. Module can be mounted to a movement device (i.e., drone or RC Car) and generate a map of its surroundings. Module uses YOLOv3 object detection to mark hazards and people on the generated map. In addition, map generation uses LiDAR and Raspberry Pi 5 for processing.
Cache Design Project, April 2024 - May 2024
Designed, developed, and documented a design for a 16-byte cache block. Created VHDL code, cadence schematics, and cadence layouts for all gates and modules needed for the cache design. Project was tested by driving inputs and verifying that outputs are valid. Timing for the cache was evaluated during the testing process.
