I am currently working in the aerospace field for a company named AST space mobile and what I am currently doing is calibration for the whole company. I am making sure if tools are testing in tolerance out of tolerance and if they meet tool standards. Our tool tolerance is 3% plus and 3% minus. Which is really tedious to make in tolerance since that's a rare standard to work with. I work with torque wrenches, torque drivers, micrometers, calipers and ETC. I specifically make sure they are ready to go for any department that needs them. we test our tools on these instruments called cellblocks and it helps us read what the tool is hitting at, whether it's in newton meters, Centinewton meters, inch pounds, foot pounds, ETC. I have to also pay close attention for when I adjust a tool to really make sure I adjusted it in tolerance. I always make sure to never give an out of tolerance tool for any team or department. I also am familiar with the application excel for that's the application we use to put the tools test points. When I put the test points of the tools into excel, we have a code in excel that will tell us if the tool is passing or failing. We also have a system called gage track that helps us keep up with retired tools and which tools are active and sent out to different departments... That really sums it up on what I do for AST if you have any questions about my job feel free to reach out and ask, I will be glad to answer. I want to further my knowledge in any other career. I am currently looking for a career, and not just a job. I would love to prove to you I would be a big asset to this company. I believe in team-work and hard work. I know if become a part of this team I have a high desire to be the one anyone can call and depend on...
I also worked for a company named Chemical Services; I take apart and reassemble elevators I have to clean the teeth of the elevators, and I have to take out bolts to see if they are still good to hold the teeth in place. Then I also have to change the sizes of them, one is a 7/8 and the other 3/8. Then I build toolboxes that has different kinds of tools in it and make sure the boxes are done on time. I also load up the toolboxes we make onto a trailer with a forklift and hot shot toolboxes out to location.
I worked for a company, CJCSM, for 12 months as a laydown technician for a tubing scanning company. I had to lay down pipe and inspect the threads on the pipe to make sure that the tubing was still good and in good shape to still be used. I had also done a CT scan with this one device to get a reading to see if the pipe was still good on the inside.
