- Here I became familiar with all safety regulations and potential occupational hazards
- I learned to read and analyze building specification documents for house footings and foundation work as well as conducting foundation concrete mixing and monitoring on a regular basis
- Operated drills and jackhammers to break up pavement on a regular basis
- Assisted with a variety of minor site labor tasks as required
- Although I was in this fieldwork for less than a year I learned valuable hands-on experience that I still use at home with personal projects and home development
