- As a crew chief, I am responsible for the overall operation of my aircraft. I perform pre-flight, post-flight, and in-flight inspections of aircraft systems. I am also responsible for monitoring aircraft performance during flight operations. Additionally, I oversee daily maintenance and care of the aircraft, identify malfunctions and replace parts, and perform inspections and maintain records. Essentially we make sure that the F16 jets are fully operational and ready for flight.
