Work History

Operations Supervisor

GXO Direct
11.2021 - Current
  • I began with GXO as an Operation Supervisor for an account called Thrasio
  • A high demand client with fast moving product, as these items were Amazon based goods
  • As I furthered my knowledge with that account, I was intermittingly assisting with another account while their supervisor was out on leave
  • I helped lead several Leaning out projects and took part of launching the buildings first safety team
  • In September of 2022, I was asked to help start up a sister site in Redlands, CA
  • I spent two months assisting to build a team and help create the inbound and outbound processes
  • Before my time was up, my site manger (Luis), asked if I was willing to travel to McDonough, GA and help in another site
  • I was fortunate to be able to give aid to this site for an additional 4 months
  • Upon my return, there was a supervisor change and I inherited a new account
  • Not long after, the building acquired a new account
  • Therefore, now I am currently running two accounts, Blueair, and HP.

Team Lead

Kuehne
07.2018 - 11.2021
  • My tenor with Kuehne Nagel was in Redlands, this was a startup and our client were Amazon (heavy-Bulky)
  • I was a customer service Representative (a CSR), and my role was to trouble shoot inbound product that had reception issues
  • The job at hand had me viewing the client's product through CIEL (our WMS) and Amazon's inventory database, in order to decipher what item, we were configuring
  • In a short amount of time I was promoted to Inbound Team Lead and help streamline processes all while cutting back on cost
  • I was contacted by the outbound Ops Manger and was given the chance to lead a struggling outbound team
  • I felt this was a chance to further develop my skills and took on the challenge
  • After many months of hard work our efforts paid off
  • The outbound team was now functioning flawlessly and efficiently
  • Sadly, this facility is no longer in operation and I was placed in Ontario (ONT), with Louis Vuitton as our client
  • I first started in Ontario for the outbound team as an order picker
  • I quickly learned multiple functions and not only adapted to their process, but I helped streamline it
  • This propelled me to my first accomplishment at ONT
  • I was promoted to Outbound Team Lead which was a team of 30 to 40 associates at any given day
  • I helped bring to light what were the underlining issues of the lost product and we came up with a process to combat that loss
  • I also took over their packaging loads from scheduling to storing in our DC
  • This process helped develop a new and efficient inbound process
  • Our Ontario site was now the top DC within all of Louis Vuitton's US Dc's.

11.2013 - 07.2018
  • Crossed trained, goal driven, and team oriented individual, in both office and warehouse settings
  • Now by learning both of these types of setting, it has also allowed me to also mentor others
  • Four years of forklift experience with a push pull attachment, I am able to replenish stock, handle UPS direct customer deliveries and other 3PL client shipments
  • I also assist with QI product, recoup, order picking, and occasionally stage palletized orders
  • In the office I maintain MRB's from both our facility and our 3PL business partners
  • When I'm not covering for the traffic controller, I am either processing international/domestic orders all while scheduling pick up times and dates from our carriers
  • In addition, I also assist with Quality Control by either placing product on hold and or releasing the goods both physically and systematically
  • My most recent achievement was configuring Zavanta, a multi-data interface program for Holman's Standard Operating Procedures
  • I configured each nomenclature along with their corresponding facilities; in order to meet and exceed Holman's values & policies of each facility and their SOP's.

Customer Service

American Apparel
08.2005 - 08.2011
  • I was introduced to AA (American Apparel's) shipping department as an auditor
  • My instructions were to observe, annotate, and help restructure various points in which they previously had shipping issues
  • The auditor's largely consisted of Spanish speaking co-workers, which was also an issue (according to management)
  • I saw this as an opportunity to aid both parties
  • Fortunately, I am fluent in Eng/Span, therefore I was able to communicate everyone's questions and concerns
  • Now by doing so, I enabled others to bridge the communication gap within depth details
  • I quickly moved up the ranks (within a 3-month span), as I was promoted to the sales team
  • Now not much later after that, I was also given an additional raise and I was in charge of handling complex distributor accounts
  • Moreover, these accounts needed specific care labels changes for other business such as Armani, Polo, and several others
  • Attention to detail was a must with a very low margin of error
  • Fast forward six months, American Apparel went live w/order processing and inventory updates
  • Once again, I was given the opportunity to manage and process the sudden influx of orders to process
  • On any given day I would process over a 150 Faxed/emailed/called in/online/and or showroom orders
  • All while juggling other office duties, such as heavy inbound calls inquiring about our product, pricing, and customer issues
  • By maintaining policies & guidelines present I was able to keep the client's interest on our product rather than the problem at hand.

Human Resource Specialist

Indy Mac Bank Corp
07.2004 - 12.2004
  • In the short amount of time in which I was employed by Indy Mac Bank, I quickly educated myself with the company's policies and procedures
  • Thus, since this was my first time in a corporate setting, and I lacked human resource and employee rights knowledge
  • I created several binders filled with questions and answers which would allow me to promptly answer any questions for our new hires
  • In addition, I also added contingencies for various situations, in case I was left alone in the office
  • As time moved on my new set of skills were improving
  • Now by my second month of employment I was not only assisting in daily office duties, but I was also given various tasks and a couple of important projects
  • Indy Mac's human resources was a bit short staffed and one of projects was to run reports and advise of profit drops
  • If sales associates were not meeting a certain quota (Due to Legal Binding Contracts), then human resources would have to contact all parties involved
  • Now by being able to not only collect the data but also maintain an impeccable repertoire with Indy Mac's SVP's and VP's, from coast to coast
  • I was also allowed to write my own new hire speeches during orientations
  • The Senior Vice President at the time (Ellen Mochizuki), made it clear that I was rapidly gaining trust from my supervisor and fellow peers.

Account Executive

Less Accessories
01.1995 - 01.2002
  • Directly out of high school, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work for Pay-Less Accessories
  • Pay-Less consisted of three companies, one was a retail store the other was the service provider and I primarily assisted the wholesale distributor
  • My duties consisted of maintaining the stock rooms fully functional for the day to day operations
  • I took it upon myself to learn the products, their functionalities and all of the accessories
  • Soon after, I was promoted and allowed to assist with sales
  • My extensive knowledge of CDMA, GSM, and Analog products propelled me within the company, and I was soon given the title of account executive
  • I personally took it upon myself to quickly adapt and absorb technical and mechanical terminology
  • My introduction to sales was quick and brief
  • The owner (Harry Mozafarian), handed me four phone books, a notepad and a pen
  • He then instructed me to look up cellphone companies and sell them our products
  • By trial and error, I was able to develop several different scripts
  • Everyone's mind works different and by being able to predict who you have on the other line is critical to one's sales pitch
  • The key is to be able to decipher and break down the call with in the first five seconds
  • If the call doesn't go your way, end it quickly and say your name and or company name at least three times or walk away with a fax number
  • By doing so, you just planted a seed of who you are and how pleasant the call was
  • As a result, once you fax over a flyer your name seems familiar and they end up calling you back
  • My new formula was outstanding, therefore my clientele increased, and I had several regions in Texas, Atlanta, and Florida
  • In addition to my contributions in sales, I was also attending trade shows which was a great form groundwork to maintain customer relations
  • After my first year as account executive I brought in a little over 300k
  • Now by the end of my 6th year I brought in a healthy 4 million dollars
  • This was with a 300 to 700% mark-up on each order that I closed.
