Owen L. Kleber

As a freshman at Indiana University's School of Public Health, I am pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Sports Management. I am passionate about using analytics and statistics to inform team strategies and ingame decisions, while also examining the role of media and communications in shaping sports coverage and digital platforms. Through my past and current coursework in statistics and sports management, I am building a strong foundation in both data-driven decision-making and strategic media practices. I aim to apply these skills through analytics projects, student organizations, and internships with professional sports teams, using insights to support team strategies and organizational effectiveness.

• Represented and engaged a residential community of ~500 students by organizing and hosting monthly events to increase student involvement and strengthen community engagement.
• Collaborated with student government members to advocate for residents and contributed to the passage of multiple Student Life bills.

Pantry 279 Volunteer | Bloomington, IN (Oct 2025)

• Assisted with organizing and distributing food to members of the community whose food stamps were affected by the government shutdown.

Varsity Swimming – Rochester Hills, MI | Captain (Nov 2024 – Feb 2025)

• Served as a captain of the varsity swim team, coordinating meets, designing and purchasing merchandise, setting up team pasta parties, providing rides for underclassmen, and helping set team standards throughout the season.

Spike Ball - Rochester Hills, MI | Vice President (Sep 2024 - May 2025)

• Helped with scheduling of gym time slots and club meetings, managed club equipment, collected club fees, and actively recruited new members.

Christmas Caroling Volunteer | Serene Gardens of Rochester Hills (Dec 2023 – Dec 2024)

• Volunteered through the choir program at the Serene Gardens assisted living home, singing Christmas carols for residents during the holiday season.
