Motivated Finance student at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a strong foundation in finance, marketing, leadership, and communication. Currently serving as Recruitment Chair for Kappa Sigma Fraternity, where I am responsible for organizing recruitment events, building relationships with potential new members, and promoting the fraternity. I am also preparing to take on a position on the fraternity's Executive Board, allowing me to further develop my leadership and organizational skills. Through my coursework in finance and marketing, I have gained a basic understanding of financial markets, business operations, investment principles, and marketing strategies.
Each semester, I volunteer at least 40 hours through Kappa Sigma at SIUE. A majority of these hours come from my responsibilities as Recruitment Chair, where I spend time organizing recruitment events, meeting potential new members, and helping grow our fraternity. As a fraternity, we also take pride in supporting military heroes through our involvement in charitable events and fundraising efforts. Being involved in Kappa Sigma has taught me valuable leadership, communication, and time management skills while giving me the opportunity to make a positive impact on my fraternity and the community.
Working as a bartender has helped me develop strong communication and customer service skills by interacting with a wide variety of customers daily. I have learned how to communicate clearly, build relationships, and handle difficult situations while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
Working as a Package Handler at UPS helped me develop a stronger work ethic and taught me the importance of perseverance. The physically demanding and fast paced environment pushed me to stay focused, work efficiently and overcome challenges.
During high school, I was honored to receive the Chamber of Commerce Scholarship after being selected from a group of 10 candidates.
