Owen Smithies

Returning back I had a greater responsibility as a de facto assistant warehouse manager on the weekdays and weekends. I had to organize deliveries, and use leadership skills to lead the other warehouse workers.

• Coming home from college for the summer I went back to my job as a warehouse associate where I once again had to work both with a team, and also by myself. Most of the days I worked I was by myself in the warehouse so I had to be resourceful and find things I could do.

• As a warehouse worker at Ace Hardware I learned many skills such as how to put together grills and home decorations, but I also learned how to work both with a team and how to thrive when working by myself.

I am a senior at WSU Pullman with plans to graduate in May and then go straight into Graduate School to get a masters degree. I have a 4.0 GPA currently.
