Software Projects

  • Java Flight Planner - A Java Flight Planner that reads a list of city-to-city flights (with cost and time) from an input file, flights, then processes trip requests (origin, destination, and whether to optimize for Time (T) or Cost (C)) requests. For each request, it generates all valid flight paths between the cities, sorts them by the chosen criterion, and outputs the top 3 best itineraries.
  • Rental Statements & Rewards master program - A Java movie rental billing program that models Customers, Movies, and Rentals, then generates a formatted rental statement showing each movie’s charge, the total amount owed, and frequent renter points earned. Pricing is calculated based on movie category (Regular, New Release, Children’s) and days rented, including bonus points for multi-day new releases.
  • Poker Statistics Calculator - In this project, we developed a C++ program that simulates a poker game using 3D arrays. The 3D array represented multiple rounds, players, and their hands as 'game[rounds][players][cards]'. The program randomly generated hands for each player, evaluated the winner based on poker hand rankings, and calculated statistics on the player's win percentage over several rounds. The key challenge was efficiently managing the card distribution and ensuring accurate win tracking across multiple simulated games.
  • Amazon delivery tracker program - I developed a delivery tracker program for Amazon Prime drivers using both Java and C++. I implemented a system to calculate the area of a polygon representing delivery routes based on coordinates provided in a file. I used a 3D array to store the coordinates and a 1D array to manage driver names. The program read data from a file, calculated the area of each route, and displayed the results formatted to two decimal places. I also applied programming fundamentals such as file I/O, loops, functions, and arrays to complete the project.
