• I have been working in the IO3 area for over six months, holding the position of base painter.
• My duties have included performing maintenance in various areas, such as Seuss Landing, Jurassic Park, Hulk, Marvel Super Hero Island, Harry Potter (Hogwarts, Hagrid, Hogsmeade), Ripsaw, and Popeye and Bluto’s, among others.
• My tasks involve working on seat walks, walls, metal structures, roofs, ceilings, handrails, and stairs, as well as repairs in restaurants, offices, and break rooms, including walls, baseboards, ceilings, doors, door frames, and additional elements (drywall).
• I have experience operating boom lifts (80, 60, 40, and 35 feet), both gas-powered and electric, as well as scissor lifts, and other appropriate machinery to perform efficient and safe work.
• I have also assisted in the scenic department, performing base painting, and some wash painting tasks.

Then I was transferred to Volcano Bay, where I became the leader of a team of three people (MIDFLORIDA). We are responsible for the painting area, as well as performing drywall work, and pressure washing in the cabanas. Our duties include painting staircases, handrails, and other visual elements of the attractions, such as metal arches, bridge structures, side stair structures, vertical railings, and large metal frames throughout the park.

We also carry out wall repairs in the restaurants and administrative offices at Volcano Bay.

Our job begins by preparing the work area: we use sanders and grinders to remove rust and any unsuitable materials, ensuring the surface is smooth and clean. We then apply a rust treatment liquid and allow it to dry properly. After that, we apply a gray primer, and let it cure for the appropriate amount of time. Once the primer is dry, we prepare the paint by mixing in the necessary additives, such as drying accelerators and enamel, to ensure the work is completed on schedule, so the park can open in optimal condition each morning.

Additionally, we perform pressure washing on the Volcano Bay cabanas. After removing any damaged paint, we apply epic oil to the wood to restore its appearance, and ensure a high-quality finish.

• Initially, I started working at the University of Florida stadium performing sandblasting. Once the sandblasting is complete, we clean the section thoroughly, apply a special primer, and allow it to dry. Once the area is dry, we begin painting. We use a boom lift and a material lift to work at heights, always wearing the appropriate safety harnesses.
