Successful QA professional with 18+years of experience in Airline, Banking and Captial Markets. Have 10+years of experience working for Southwest Airlines in various projects like Revenue Management, Pricing, Aircraft Operations, Network Operations, Passenger booking, Crew and Commodities.
Worked on several projects in my tenure starting from Captial Markets, Banking and Airlines.
Had an opportunity to work with Revenue Management initiative for the below projects -
PROS Upgrade - PROS (Passenger Revenue and Optimization System)
Southwest airlines uses 3rd party application called PROS (Passenger Revenue Optimization System) for forecasting demand and optimization of inventory. PROS was upgraded with new modules (e.g Bid Price generator) and GUI enhancements. Performed functional and regression testing on PROS application. The pros application allows Revenue Management analyst to monitor and modify forecast and optimization values based on analysis of current market conditions in order to maximize revenue.
Demand, Inventory, Pricing, and Reference. Demand summarizes Bookings from Altea for input to Inventory. Pricing summarizes Fares for input to Demand and Inventory. Reference supplies data such as Schedules for input to all products. Inventory forecast AuthorizedUnits/BidPrices and updates Altea
Tested all the above modules and verified the feeds send from Altea to Southwest and then back to Altea after applying business rules
Bid Price Implementation
A bid price is the minimum acceptable fare for the next available seat in inventory. With Bid Price controls, each booking request is evaluated in the context of the overall network, and the most revenue-optimal bookings are accepted.
OpsSuite (Network Operations) which mainly targets looking at the flight information and flight status to help the SOD's to monitor the flights. Worked in big projects like OnPerm migration to Cloud, CAIRO, RealTimeAircraftSchedule, Turns, Gates and Baker solutions.
